Organic Jute– The rug is made from jute fibers sourced from a single, controlled origin.
Plant-based Dyeing– The coloring is done using plant-based dyes, without synthetic additives.
Monomaterial– The rug consists exclusively of jute, without mixed fibers or backing materials.
Hand-knotted– Each rug is hand-knotted in Bhadohi, India.
Material Properties
Jute is a natural plant fiber with an earthy, slightly rough texture and a natural sheen. The fiber is durable and dimensionally stable.
Knot Structure
The knots are set in a directional structure. This makes the surface softer and comfortable to walk on barefoot.
Care Instructions
Regular vacuuming with a brush attachment keeps the rug clean. Liquids should be blotted immediately with a dry cloth – do not rub. Stubborn stains can be treated with a little mild soap on a damp cloth, then blotted dry. Steam cleaning, shampooing, or soaking should be avoided, as jute is sensitive to moisture. The rug should be used in an environment with low humidity.
